SES Computing was created some 20 years ago, when computer usage in business was in its infancy, out of Southern Electronic Services Limited, a service company. SES employees had become expert computer users at a very early stage, as a result of demanding MOD and Commercial contract requirements. So a decision was made to develop this side of the business, and the SES Computers division was formed.

Now based in specially-designed premises, at Maritime Business Centre, Portland, Dorset, we offer a personal, hands-on consultative approach, aimed to give you peace of mind, knowing that your IT needs are taken care of, whilst you can concentrate on running your business.

Our computer experts design and implement IT systems for a wide range of clients covering retail, service, hospitality, education, manufacture and research. What’s more, our comprehensive support services range from specialist help for in-house IT teams, through to the total outsourcing of all aspects of system provision, including help-desk, problem-solving, repair, disaster recovery and maintenance, to keep your staff working efficiently at all times.

For clients who want to outsource all aspects of IT provision, we offer our own cloud based hosted services. ‘Rented Apps’ allows you and your staff to access and run your applications, with your own data, wherever and whenever you want. You can be static or on-the-move, and use any suitable hardware item, such as Smartphone, Notepad, Laptop, or Computer. Rest assured that your data is secure, with SES, and emails will be looked after in accordance with your wishes.

Flexibility is the key, giving you the ability to scale up or down as your business grows and changes. The basis of our approach is to build long-term relationships with all of our customers, thus underpinning our success and growth.

Our Staff

The team at SES Computing incorporates staff members with vast amounts of IT experience, gained over many years on a variety of projects. Our engineers and technicians have excellent product knowledge, and are friendly and easy to deal with. Younger members of staff are selected for aptitude, and serve a training period, acquiring knowledge and experience whilst working at base and on-site under the supervision of more practised personnel.

Every member of our team has a personal development plan that includes regular training and accreditation. This enables them to achieve internationally recognised certifications like Microsoft MCSE/MCITP, Citrix CCA, and others, helping to guarantee delivery of the high level of service on which our customers depend.

The company is run in accordance with specific Quality Assurance procedures, as set out in the SES Quality Manual QM 3/03, which is based on ISO 9001: 2008. Our quality system is certified by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services as compliant for the manufacture, installation and servicing of computer systems and peripherals – Certificate No GB93/1870.
