Company Information

SES Computing is run in accordance with specific Quality Assurance procedures, as set out in ISO 9001: 2000. Our quality system is certified by SGS United Kingdom Ltd., for the manufacture, installation and servicing of computer systems and peripherals.

The company is structured in teams, whose members all contribute their specific skills, knowledge, and experience towards the provision of effective working ICT solutions for a wide range of clients.

History

Southern Electronic Services (SES) commenced trading as a partnership in 1973, providing support services to various clients, primarily in the engineering sector, and including the MoD. The organisation was incorporated in 1984, and moved to larger premises at the same time.

During the late 80s, SES Computing was created, specifically for the provision of ICT hardware, software, services and support. This was a natural progression, building on the significant expertise available within the company on computers and their applications, software, electronics and quality control.

Our prestigious client list includes Government Departments, Local Authorities, Corporate Organisations, and Businesses, large, medium and small, representing sectors such as research, manufacture, engineering, service provision, retail, etc. We also support home users, no matter what their level of expertise.

The company is run in accordance with specific Quality Assurance procedures, as set out in the SES Quality Manual QM 3/03, which is based on ISO 9001: 2000. Our quality system is certified by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services as compliant for the manufacture, installation and servicing of computer systems and peripherals - Certificate No GB93/1870.

Staff

The team at SES Computing incorporates staff members with vast amounts of ICT experience, gained over many years, some having started when personal computing was in it?s infancy. Younger members of staff are selected for aptitude, and serve a training period, acquiring knowledge and experience whilst working at base and on-site under the supervision of more practised personnel. All staff are encouraged to undertake relevant training courses, and are qualified by Degree, Higher National Certificate, City & Guilds, Microsoft Certified Professional, MCSP. Engineers are security cleared and CRB checked.

The company adheres to relevant Health and Safety laws, assessments and advice issued by the Health and Safety Executive, and subscribes to Government policy relating to diversity and discrimination.
